I am glad for the new chair in our family room. Even now, late on a cold night,my daughter Margaret brings me in a cup of hot tea to sip by my old coal stove quietly heating this part of the house--only heat we are using right now. I am glad because I finally found the time and the spot to create what I have always wanted to create for my classes: a place to come to and find good and enduring poetry. It is still a bit rough, but it will evolve. Browse around and read and listen to some of the poems; leave comments that are written in the same spirit and with the same thoughtfulness as the poems themselves. Take the time, too, to read about the poets in the biography included beside each poem. If you have a poem that you feel should be in here, just let me know, and I will do my best to get it in here.
Many thanks go to the various poetry sites where I found digital versions of the poems on Poem Miner. I always try my best to cite my sources and give credit where credit is due. There is a list of great poetry websites listed in the links section of the page. All interesting stuff.
Enjoy!
